Our social role

Jobs here,for people from here.

Farming around Bangangté also means creating work on the spot, supporting young people with ACIAEJ and showcasing the produce of our land.

We work with ACIAEJ, Cameroonian Association for Agricultural Investment and Youth Entrepreneurship.

01

The problem

Around Bangangté, many young people want to live from the land but lack the training, the supplies or the money to get started.

02

What we do

Jobs on our farms for the nearby villages. With ACIAEJ: training, farm inputs paid back after harvest and funding for small livestock projects. And we grow the produce of our land: cassava, yams, oil palm.

03

The result

Wages that stay in the region, and young people who live from their own work, feed their families and pay their children’s school fees. They tell it themselves, just below.

Their stories

In their own words.

Three young people supported by our partner ACIAEJ explain what that support changed for them.

Crops

« Thanks to ACIAEJ, I can get the crop-protection products I need for my fields without having to pay straight away. I can farm with peace of mind and pay back once my harvest is sold. This support helps me grow my farming business and provide for my family. »

Training

« I always wanted to make a living from farming, but I didn’t know where to start. Thanks to ACIAEJ, I am now training in growing cassava, maize and other food crops. I am learning to farm the land better and preparing my own farm project. My dream is to feed my family and earn my living from my harvests. »

Rabbit farming

« Before ACIAEJ’s support, I struggled to provide for my family. I wanted to start raising rabbits, but I had neither the know-how nor the money. With the training books and the funding I received from the association, I was able to set up my small rabbit farm. Today the income from my rabbits supports my wife and our two children. I can put food on the table, pay my children’s school fees and cover our daily expenses. I am proud to live from my own work and no longer depend on others all the time. ACIAEJ gave me the means to become financially independent. »
